Modern pianists: a list of the best pianists of our time, works

To recognize the world’s only best contemporary pianist is an impossible task. For each critic and listener, the idols will be various masters. And this is the strength of humanity: the world holds a considerable number of worthy and talented pianist musicians. Agrerikh Martha Archerich One of the first who heads the rating of the best modern pianists is Martha Argerich. The pianist was born in the Argentinean city of Buenos Aires in 1941. For the instrument, she was already three years old, and at eight she made her public debut, at which she performed the concert of Mozart herself. The future virtuoso star studied with such teachers as Friedrich Gould, Arturo Ashkenazi and Stefan Michelangeli – one of the most outstanding pianists of the 20th century performing the classics. Since 1957, Argerich began to participate in competitive activities and won the first big victories: 1st place in the pianists competition in Geneva and the Busoni International Competition. However, the real staggering success for Martha came at a time when, at the age of 24, she was able to win at the Chopin International Competition in the city of Warsaw. In 2005 she won the Grammy Award for the performance of chamber works by composers Prokofiev and Ravel, and in 2006 for performing Beethoven’s work with the orchestra. Also in 2005, the pianist was awarded the Imperial Japanese Prize. Her ardent game and amazing technical data, with the help of which she masterly performs works by Russian composers Rachmaninov and Prokofiev, can not leave anyone indifferent. Kisin Evgeniy Igorevich One of the most famous contemporary pianists of Russia is musician Kisin Evgeniy Igorevich. He was born on October 10, 1971 in Moscow, at the age of six he entered the Gnesins music school. The first and only lifelong teacher for him was Kantor Anna Pavlovna. Since 1985, Kissin begins to demonstrate his talent abroad. In 1987 he debuted in Western Europe. After 3 years, he conquers the United States, where he performs the first and second concerts of Chopin with the Philharmonic Orchestra of New York, and a week later he performs in solo format. In 1992, Yevgeny Kissin took part in the Grammy ceremony, which was watched by an incredible number of spectators – 1,600,000,000 people. In 1997, he participates in the Proms festival, where he introduces a piano evening for the first time in the history of this international event. Interesting fact Eugene never took part in competitive activities, but this did not prevent him from receiving a huge number of awards for talent and hard work. The most honorable of them are: 2 Grammy awards, the first of which was received for the best solo play by the composers Scriabin, Stravinsky and Medtner, and the second (in 2010) for performing along with the orchestra of the work of Prokofiev.
